Product description	The drying of plums as a way to preserve them for a long time began thousands of years ago. Adequate sunlight and the long and warm growing season that prevails on the coast of the Americas means that the fruit retains its natural sweetness and saturated, distinctive color - even after drying. September is when the harvest of the tastiest and most aromatic plums, perfectly suited for drying, begins. Growers go to great lengths to harvest the best possible fruits, which, when subjected to a gentle drying process, retain the best of what they have in them: vitamins and minerals. However, the most important role is played by the way the plum is stoned, which guarantees the juiciness of the dried fruit. In the highest quality dried plums, the stone is removed by only one prick. This preserves the valuable flesh, the firmness of a fresh plum and the full nutritional value even after drying. As a result, the fruits of dried plums also retain an oval, uniform shape. Dried plums are a treasure for our body, as they have five times more vitamin A and fiber than fresh fruit. They are therefore an ideal and valuable snack for our body. Selected and of the highest quality, dried plums also become a valuable addition to your favorite dry dishes, sauces or sweet desserts, just like dried apricots or dried figs. Bakalland dried prunes are also available as BIO prunes.
